TV drops pair; EH earns win

GLENVILLE?- The Tygarts Valley High School baseball team dropped a pair of games to Gilmer County Friday in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs (0-2) lost the first game, 3-0.

Owen Arbogast took the loss in Game 1 in six innings of work.

He gave up three runs on six hits, while striking out six.

Brandon?Pritt had two hits to lead Tygarts Valley at the plate.

The Bulldogs lost the second game, 7-6.

J.D. Brown took the loss on the mound in 2/3 of an inning.

Brown had two hits and two RBIs, while Mark Parrack had one hit and scored three runs for Tygarts Valley.

Ryan Hoffman added one hit for the Bulldogs.

Pritt started going the first 5 2/3 innings of work.

"I thought we played well for the opening day of the season," said Tygarts Valley coach James Markley. "We showed a lot of good stuff but I feel we need to hit the ball better."

East Hardy 11,

Keyser 10

KEYSER - Tyler Mongold had two hits and RBI to lead East Hardy past Keyser 11-10 Friday in non-conference action.

Jaime Miller and Justin Basye added two hits for the Cougars (1-0).

Korey Foltz picked up the win for East Hardy in two innings of work.

He gave up two runs on one hit, walked zero and struck out two.

East Hardy travels to Petersburg Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for a non-conference tilt.
