The Moorefield High School baseball team hopes to make its second straight appearance in the Class A state tournament this year as an experienced group returns for head coach Wade Armentrout.
The Yellow Jackets, who finished 20-8 last year, lost to Charleston Catholic 8-0 in the 2011 state semi-finals.
"We return an experienced group entering this year, which is good," Armentrout said. "We just need them to have a good year at the plate and in the field."

Moorefield’s Seth Stickley will return as one of the Yellow Jackets’ top players in 2012.
The three returning seniors are Cody Hose, Zach Laughlin and John Starkey.
Hose is one of the team's top pitchers and will be used in the infield, while Laughlin will be used as a middle infielder and Starkey is the team's returning catcher.
"We need these guys to help lead our team this year," Armentrout said. "They need to continue where they left off last year."
Also returning will be juniors Adam Snyder, Sean Brown, Lance Taylor and Garrett Keller, along with sophomore Seth Stickley.
Snyder and Stickley will be used as middle infielders, while Taylor will be used mainly as a pitcher.
"All of these guys are fighting for time this year," Armentrout said. "We've got a lot of wide-open spots this year, so it will be a fun preseason."
Moorefield will host Berkeley Springs on March 15 to open its season.
