Patricia Ann Tuttle Ashby, 57, a resident of Mississippi, went into the arms of Jesus early Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012, at the home of her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Otta Sue Ashby of Parsons.

She was born Friday, Dec. 3, 1954, at Conneaut, Ohio, a daughter of the late Earl William and Doris Marilyn Kantola Tuttle.

On Feb. 2, 1974, at Conneaut, Ohio, she married her high school sweetheart, Carl Lee Ashby Sr.

Surviving are one daughter, Pamela Hope Beck and husband, Steven, of Vicksburg, Miss.; three brothers, Earl "Bill" Tuttle and wife, Sandy, of Conneaut, Ohio, David Tuttle and wife, Victoria ,of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Jeff Tuttle and wife, Kathy, of Woodbridge, Va.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Otta Sue Ashby of Parsons; two sisters-in-law, Dianna Walker and husband, Rick, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Kimberly Snyder and husband, Henry, of Hambleton; three grandchildren, Philip, Brelynn and Breydon Beck of Vicksburg, Miss.

Preceding her in death is one son, Carl Lee Ashby Jr., during 2001.

She was a graduate of Conneaut High School with the class of 1973. She received her nursing degree from Hinds Community College at Vicksburg, Miss. She was a former nurse for Shady Lawn Nursing Home and Trace Haven Nursing Home, both of Vicksburg, Miss. She was a Bible school teacher at Goodrum Baptist Church, and she was a swimming instructor for the Vicksburg City Pool for many years. She enjoyed crafts. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and trips to West Virginia.

The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Sunday, April 1, at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Allen D. Crosten will officiate and interment will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
