State Director Bobby Lewis recently announced that USDA Rural Development approved a Community Facilities Grant in the amount of $3,325 for Jackson Memorial Community Association, Inc. in Lewis County.
Rural Development funds will be used to assist with repairs to the Jane Lew Community Center. The repairs are needed to bring the building into compliance with the state fire safety code.
Rural Development serves as the lead federal entity for rural development needs and administers program assistance through its housing, business, community and infrastructure programs.
