Pendleton trips TVHS; EHS, PB win

MILL CREEK - Daniel Hevener and Logan Raines had three hits each to lead Pendleton County to a 10-5 win over Tygarts Valley Tuesday in Potomac Valley Conference action.

Dustin Redman added two hits and three RBIs, while Luke Yokum drove in a pair of runs on two hits for the Wildcats.

Cody Lambert notched the win for Pendleton County (11-9, 5-2 PVC) in six innings of work. He gave up five runs on six hits and struck out four.

Brandon Pritt took the loss for the Bulldogs (8-10) in four innings of work.

Pritt helped his own cause at the plate with three hits. J.D. Brown added a run-producing triple for Tygarts Valley.

Both teams will return to action today. Tygarts Valley will play a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader at Notre Dame, while Pendleton County travels to East Hardy for a 7 p.m. contest.

Elkins 4, Lewis County 3

WESTON?- Caten Murphy had three hits including a home run to lead Elkins to a 4-3 win over Lewis County Tuesday in Big 10 Conference action.

Cody Gainer drove in a run on two hits for the Tigers (8-7), while Clayton Collett had one hit and two runs scored. Collett also had four stolen bases in the contest.

James Gainer pitched a complete-game to earn the win for Elkins. Gainer scattered four hits, struck out seven and walked five.

Nathan Kemper suffered the loss for the Minutemen in seven innings of work.

Nicholas Minutelli led Lewis County at the plate with two hits and two RBIs. One of his hits was a solo homer.

The Minutemen will travel to East Fairmont on Thursday.

Elkins will travel to Bridgeport for a 4:30 p.m. contest today.

Philip Barbour 8, North Marion 7

RACHEL?- Al Johnson had four hits to lead Philip Barbour to an 8-7 win over North Marion Tuesday in Big 10 Conference action.

Chance Price added three hits and two RBIs for the Colts, who improved to 7-10 with the win.

Andy Green and Zach Howdershelt chipped in with two hits each for Philip Barbour.

Green notched the win for the Colts in seven innings of work.

He allowed eight hits, struck out three and walked three.

Matt Hawkins took the loss for the Huskies in five innings pitched. Cody Opron had two hits to lead North Marion at the dish.

Philip Barbour will travel to Grafton for a 4:30 p.m. contest today.

Berkeley Springs 5, East Hardy 4

BAKER?-Kyle Apple's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning lifted Berkeley Springs to a 5-4 extra-inning win over East Hardy Tuesday in non-conference action.

Apple added a run-scoring doubled in the contest for the Indians.

Tyler Holt earned the win for Berkeley Spring in eight innings pitched. He allowed four runs on four hits.

Tyler Mongold took the loss for the Cougars (16-4) in eight innings of work. He surrendered just four hits, struck out eight and walked eight.

Kollin Foltz drove in a pair a runs for East Hardy, who will entertain Pendleton County today.
