Voters encouraged to attend forum

April 21, 2012
The Inter-Mountain

Making choices isn't always easy, especially when it has to do with something that impacts the future. Having information and weighing in on the pros and cons are essential in making an important decision.

That's why The Inter-Mountain is sponsoring a candidate forum next week at Elkins High School. It's an opportunity for voters to not only meet the candidates, but also to hear their views on specific issues. Incumbents and their challengers in Randolph County have been invited to take part in a question-and-answer session presented by our moderator and members of the audience.

The May 8 primary, with early voting beginning Wednesday, presents a full slate of candidates. Although some voters do mark their ballots according to whose name looks familiar, it's far more important to consider which person can provide the best public service and solve problems most efficiently.

We encourage voters to attend our forum on Thursday to seek the information they need before heading to the polls. A reception begins at 6 p.m. and the forum follows at 6:30 p.m. We hope to see you there.
