The West Virginia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will host a social media seminar May 16 at Stonewall Resort.
"Social Media-Criteria, Crisis and Campaign" will provide attendees with information to guide them in the use of social media in their businesses.
This professional development seminar is designed to help participants understand the criteria needed for social media and its use in crises and campaigns. Panelists from Marshall University and West Virginia University, among others, will explain why business owners need a social media policy and what it should cover, using social media in a crisis and conducting a campaign without using traditional media.
The event will begin with a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. in Stillwaters Restaurant, with the seminar beginning at 12:30 p.m. and concluding at 4:30 p.m.
Reservations are required and must be received by May 11.
