Vera Darlene Lindsay Seabold passed away April 24, 2012, in Tehachapi, Calif.
Mrs. Seabold was born Nov. 4, 1937, at Valley Head, the daughter of the late MC "Pete" and May Swecker Lindsay.
She is also preceded in death by one brother, Gale Lindsay of Valley Head; and one sister, Ila Pearl Lindsay Davis of Morgantown.
Vera attended Valley Head Grade School and graduated from Tygarts Valley High School in 1956. Upon graduation, she worked at Reidbord Sewing Factory in Elkins for five years, reigning as "Miss Reidbord" during one of those years.
Married to Ron Seabold on Sept, 6, 1961, Vera and her husband made their home in California and had two children, Shelley and Jeffrey. Grandmother to Cole, Emily and Summer Seabold, Vera also had a great-grandson, Landon, who brought her great joy.
Other surviving family include brothers, Paul Lindsay of Valley Head and Verl Lindsay of Derry, N.H., Oland Lindsay of Cortland, Ohio, and Dwayne Lindsay of Valley Head. Surviving sisters are Olis Lindsay Campagna of Valley Head, Ethelene Lindsay Durham of McMinnville, Tenn., and Shirley Lindsay Isner of Jonesborough, Tenn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be sadly missed as a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a much loved sister.
Vera was laid to rest in the arms of God at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.
