The Barbour County Board of Education recognizes local students for their participation and excellence in the Barbour County Regional Science Fair. Micheala Ferguson is recognized as honorable mention for her project on crystal snowflakes. Others who were unable to attend included Ethan Mick, who won second place for his topic, ‘ElectricoJello.’ Corrine McDaniel won first place with her topic, ‘Scarey Cat.’ Sharing third place, Cara Kirk was recognized for her project, ‘Who Opened It,’ and Chloe Mouser was recognized for her project, ‘Keeping You In Suspension.’ Gavin Wolfe, Cassandra Triplett and Shannon McDaniel won first place for their project ‘Erythematic Solar.’ Shown here, from left, are Board of Education member Doward Matlick; Belington Middle School Principal Moke Post; President David Strait; Ferguson; board members Suzanne McDonnell and Michael Talbott; and Superintendent Dr. F.
