Twila Wolford will celebrate her 90th birthday on May 27.
Mrs. Wolford was born May 27, 1922, in Tucker County, the daughter of the late Edward and Chole Bodkin Simmons.
On Nov. 15, 1946, she married Virgil Wolford at Red House, Md. They have celebrated 65 years of marriage.
They have five children, Terry of Cumberland, Md., Cathy Rummel and husband, Larry, of Belington, Shirley Wolfe and husband, Jim, of Nutter Fort and Ron and wife, Brenda, and Don and wife, Tammy, of Dryfork. She also has six grandchildren, Nicole Painter, Steven and David Wolford, Travis Rummel, Michael and Jenna Wolfe; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Camryn Painter, Dakota and Reilly Wolford and Elijah Wolfe.
Mrs. Wolford worked at the Best Western Motel in Davis for more than 20 years. She is a member of the Harman Church of the Brethren, and she has been a member of Blackwater Rebekah Lodge 274 for more than 50 years. She enjoys her daily visit to the Harman Senior Center, attending Flanagan Hill Outpost gatherings and spending time with her family.
