Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College created a storefront, called "Eastern's Extravaganza," for the community to shop a variety of local small businesses at their new Main Campus building on 316 Eastern Drive.
More than 20 vendors and community organizations were located throughout the building, in classrooms and across the yards of Eastern's Main Campus on April 21.
Vendors included Beauticontrol, Celebrating Home, Children's Books & Things, Crochet By Order, Golden Scents, Longaberger, Mary Kay, Mountaineer Bowtique, Pampered Chef, Precious Memories, Premier Jewelry, RADA Knives, Ribs R Us, Shelly Designs, Tastefully Simple and Thirty-One.
Workshops, kid-friendly activities, special sales and free fire-extinguisher trainings occurred from 9 a.m. to noon. Free T-shirts were handed to the first 40 visitors. Eastern's talented Children's Dance Class provided a jovial atmosphere for shoppers with their "Don't Miss the Dance" routine.
Eastern would like to thank all of the vendors, guests, staff, and community members who made this event a success.
