The Board of Directors of Mountain-Valley Bancshares Inc. recently announced two promotions.
The Board of Directors has elected Donald J. Judy to succeed the late James E. Wallace as chairman of the board, and Larissa D. Fowler has been promoted to loan officer of the bank.
Judy was elected to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Mill Creek in 1980 and continued to serve on the board when Bank of Mill Creek and First National Bank of Parsons merged in 1992 to form Mountain Valley Bank N.A. He was elected to the Mountain-Valley Bancshares Inc. board in 1998. Judy serves on the Executive, Asset/Liability, Audit, Loan and Budget committees at Mountain Valley Bank.

Judy attended West Virginia University and graduated in 1966 with a degree in forestry. Judy owned and operated Judy FenceCraft Inc. in Bartow until his retirement in 2005. He has been an avid pilot for 51 years, for which he was presented the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award last year for 50 consecutive years of flying. He is one of only two designated pilot examiners in the state of West Virginia.
Judy is the son of Thelma Judy and the late Leon Judy. He resides on The Lazy J Farm in Beverly with his wife, Barbara. He is a member of the WVU Alumni Association, Tygart Valley Lions Club and the First United Methodist Church in Elkins.

Fowler began her career at Mountain Valley Bank in October 2010 as an assistant loan officer.
Fowler attended Davis & Elkins College and graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's in recreation management and tourism development and with minors in marketing and management. She received the "Wall Street Journal Award" in 2010 from the business department at Davis & Elkins College for the best all-around business student. Fowler was student body president for two years, a member of Theta Phi Alpha Sorority for four years, inducted into Beta Alpha Beta, Phi Beta Lambda and Sigma Beta Delta honorary business fraternities. Fowler was a member of the Davis & Elkins College ski team for four years and she made All-Conference Team for three of those years. She also was a member of the softball team.
Fowler resides in Randolph County. She is the daughter of Lewis and Linda Fowler of Butler, Pa. She is the vice president of fundraising for the Randolph County Humane Society.
