A pair of runners compete in the 50-meter dash during Tuesday’s 34th annual Mayor’s Intra-City track meet at Elkins High School. The track meet has been an annual spring event for youngsters around the area since it began in 1978. The meet is open for kindergarten through sixth grade students who attend schools in Randolph County. Close to 30 students competed in Tuesday’s meet, which was halted by rain last Wednesday.
