Junior Earl Mullins, 81, of French Creek, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1931, in Upshur County, a son of the late Floyd Brant and Merle Juanita Lane Mullins.
On Aug. 30, 1962, he was united in marriage to Blanche Daniels Mullins. who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Donna and husband, Allen Bailey, of Buckhannon, Patty and husband, Timothy Teter, of York, S.C., Carol and husband, Chuck Smith, of Buckhannon and Mary and husband, Rick Hull, of French Creek; two sons, Floyd and wife, Joy Mullins, of French Creek and Josh Mullins of French Creek; 14 grandchildren, J.R. and Bradley Bailey, Kimberly, T.J. and Patrick Teter, Charley and Chris Smith, Kari Gump and Kati Hull, Eleni, Brant and Gabrielle Mullins and Brandon and Karley Wagoner; five great-grandchildren, Cody, Colin and Mason Bailey, Kenzie and Hayleigh Gump; one brother, Guy Mullins of Magazine, Ark. One nephew, Michael Hoover; and four nieces, Tava Smith, Dolly Anderson, Juanita Randall and Tracy Mullins also survive.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Cayrol Wilfong.
Mr. Mullins was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, having served in the 5th Regimental Combat Team during the Korean War. He was retired from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was employed as a utility craftsman.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 3, from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in Beechtown Cemetery. Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663, the Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion and the DAV Chapters 5 and 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
