Madonna won its second Class A state baseball title in three years with a 5-4 victory over East Hardy in eight innings Sunday night at Appalachian Power Park.
Will Bowser's single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eight inning scored Connor Mogan with the game-winning run.
The Blue Dons (25-9) loaded the bases with one out in the eighth against Korey Foltz. Foltz was the third pitcher of the night for the Cougars.

Madonna’s Ross Comis lays a tag on East Hardy’s Shawn Skovron Sunday during the Class A high school baseball state tournament in Charleston. Madonna won the game 5-4 in eight innings.
Mogan led off the inning with an infield single and was able to get to second on an error on the play. Chris Duerr followed with another infield single and Luca Fuscardo drew a walk to load the bases for Bowser, who hit the first pitch over first base and down the line in right.
Mogan picked up the win in relief.
East Hardy trailed 4-1 before rallying for three runs in the sixth to tie the game. Korey Foltz scored on an error, Shawn Skovron had a run-producing triple and Hinkle an RBI?single.
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the first when Foltz tripled and scored on Jamie Miller's sacrifice fly.
Madonna added single runs in the second and fourth and two more in the fifth.
East Hardy ended the season 31-7.
In the other title games played on Sunday, Princeton took the Class AAA crown with a 7-4 victory over Nitro. Corey Quick had a two-run double to key a six-run sixth inning for the Tigers.
In the Class AA title game, Wyoming East blanked Herbert Hoover, 1-0.
