Three individuals entered guilty pleas June 1 in U.S. District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II announced this week that:
Garrett S. Sites, 28, of Petersburg, entered a guilty plea to possession of pseudoephedrine to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine on Jan. 19 in Hardy County. Sites, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
Kayla A. Evans, 22, of Petersburg, entered a guilty plea to possession of pseudoephedrine to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine on Sept. 26, 2011, in Mineral County. Evans, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
Roni N. Nicely, 21, of Cabins, entered a guilty plea to possession of material used in the manufacture of methamphetamine on Jan. 27 in Grant County. Nicely, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the Grant County Sheriff's Department, the Hardy County Sheriff's Department, the Monongahela National Forest/Law Enforcement and Investigations and the West Virginia State Police.
