Wanda June Tenney, 77, a resident of Norton, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Her death was unexpected.
She was born April 1, 1935, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Otis Ray Helmick and the late Elsie Koon Helmick.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David Tenney and wife, Christina, and their children, Felicia, Ashley and Meghann with whom she made her home at Norton. Also surviving are two sisters, Madeline Tenney of Tenmile and Lucille Trembly of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dave, Dale and Holly Goodwin; and two sisters, Mary White and Mildred Bodkins.
At Wanda's request, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
