Donis J. Cutright, 82, of Buckhannon, the Ivy Community, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
He was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Jerryville, Webster County, a son of the late Charles Brannon and Effie Ruth Cogar Cutright.
On March 29, 1956, he was united in marriage to Rowena F. Manley Cutright, who preceded him in death on April 29, 2011.

Surviving are two sons, Keith and wife, Lydia Cutright, of Buckhannon and Brent and wife, Debbie Cutright, of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Corey Cutright, Codey Cutright, and Nicholas T. Cutright, all of Buckhannon; one brother, Doyle and wife, Doris, of Mogadore, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Cutright was a member of the Reed Chapel United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school classes. He was a former employee of Shannon's Hardware, where he worked in the sporting goods department, and was retired from the Upshur County Board of Education. His passions were hunting and fishing, especially at his camp in Moorefield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in post-WWII Germany.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert F. Heavner and Pastor Tim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery, where the Buckhannon VFW Post 3663, the Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion, and the DAV Chapters 5 and 36 will conduct military honors. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.heavnerandcutright.com.
