Members of several area fire departments battle a blaze Monday at a two-story house along the Beverly Five-lane. Beverly Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Tim Harper said the fire caused about $40,000 worth of damage to the house. He said the house is a rental property and no one was at home at the time of the fire. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
