Players from Class A?state runner-up East Hardy headline the 2012 All-State baseball team released by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association on Monday.
The Cougars, who fell to Madonna in the state championship game on June 3, placed seven players on the squad.
Seniors Jamie Miller and Kollin Foltz lead the list of East Hardy players selected. Miller was named captain of the first team, while Foltz was a first-team utility selection.

Miller, who is a first-team pick for a third straight season, finished with near perfect 10-1 mark this year. The left-handed hurler posted a 1.16 ERA?and struck out 133 batters in 77 1/3 innings pitched.
"Jamie (Miller) is very deserving of being named captain," East Hardy coach Raymond Snapp said. "He was one of the top pitcher in the state this year. He was tremendous on the mound all season for us."
Foltz, meanwhile, hit an impressive .371 with 36 RBIs and six homers this season for Cougars. He also scored 48 runs and had a .571 on-base percentage.
When not playing in the infield, Foltz also excelled on the mound where he posted a 4-0 mark.
"Kollin had a great year," Snapp said. "He really helped our team both offensively and defensively."
Junior Korey Foltz was a second team pick for Cougars, who set a school record with 31 victories this season. Korey Foltz was joined on the second team by Moorefield junior pitcher Lance Taylor.
East Hardy's Tyler Mongold and Shawn Skovron were special honorable mention selections. The duo is joined by Pocahontas County's Steve Halterman.
Justin Bayse (East Hardy), Wesley Felton (Pocahontas County), Dillon Hovorka (Pocahontas County), Garrett Keller (Moorefield), Zach Laughlin (Moorefield), Logan Propst (Pendleton County), Dustin Redman (Pendleton County), Ada, Snyder (Moorefield) and John Starkey (Moorefield), Wyatt Bayse (East Hardy) were all selected to the honorable mention squad and round out the list of area players making the team.
Karl Bennington (Gilmer), Kiefer Hovorka (Charleston Catholic), Zack Romine (Parkersburg Catholic), Mitchel French (Cameron), Jordan Simpson (Man), Chris Petrucci (Notre Dame), Mitch Davis (Parkersburg Catholic), Logan Linder (Madonna), Mic Keys (Wheeling Central), Rocco Wilcox (Charleston Catholic), Arik McGinnis (Valley-Fayette), Ryan Hughes (Cameron), Eli Gray (Williamstown) and Tyler Roush (Wahama) make up the remainder of the first team.
