The sixth annual Randolph County Hall of Fame Golfing Outing held May the 26 at the Elks County Club was another success. And of course none of it would have been possible without the help of those of you who were kind enough to contribute.
Thanks goes first to Jim McCloud and the Elks Country Club for the use of their course, and to Donna and Mike Roy at the golf course. Thanks Donna for your help at the Pro Shop and to Mike, once again the greens were perfect. Thanks to Stan Teets and the crew at T-Mart, the subs hit the spot. Thanks to Brent Kepner and the folks at Foto-1, the only thing prettier on the golf course other than your signs were the flowers. To Voris Hayness Jr., thanks - it's good to have friends in high places.
Thanks to the following quality golf courses that contributed to our event - Riverbend Golf Course, Stonewall Resort, Holly Meadows Country Club, Elks Country Club, Valley View Country Club, The Raven at Snowshoe, Canaan Valley, Belle Meadows and Hawk's Nest. To those of you who helped sponsor the event, I give a "big" thanks to the following businesses: Family Eye Care, Broughton's Sports, Innovative Investments, The Inter-Mountain, Scottie's Restaurant, Triplett & Triplet Law Firm, Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, Busch, Zurbuch and Thompson law firm, Elkins Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center, Davis Health System, Parrack Insurance, Mountain Valley Bank, Bill's Auto Repair, Davis Trust Co., Steer Family Steakhouse, Elkins Builders Supply / Talbott Glass, Huntington Bank, McDonald's and Elkins Fordland.
Last but not least, to those who participated, thanks and bring your friends next year. To the Hall of Fame committee that assisted in getting it all together, thanks. Hope you will join us next year for the seventh annual. See you at the club house.
