Lydia Katelyn McDowell received a master's degree in aerospace engineering at Colorado University in Boulder, Colo., on May 10. She graduated summa cum laude.
She will reside in Long Beach, Calif., working as a structural analysis engineer at Boeing Airlines.
Her parents are Matt and Edie McDowell, and her sister is Lea B. McDowell, from Davis. Her paternal grandparents are Richard and Rebecca McDowell, from Elkins. Her late maternal grandparents are Stuart Sr. and Edie Thayer.
