The upcoming Line of Duty 5K run is designed to honor police officers and support Cpl. Andrew S. "Shannon" Loudin of the West Virginia State Police.
Loudin, a 10-year state police veteran and a member of the Crimes Against Children Unit, was wounded in a shooting incident in early May in Elkins.
The run is scheduled for June 29 at Wesley Chapel Circle, West Virginia Wesleyan College. Registration will be from 5 to 6 p.m. A kid's run is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., a walk is set at 6:30 p.m. and the run is set to begin at 7 p.m. The kid's run will cost $10 and the 5K will cost $20.
Parking will be available behind Middleton Hall and New Hall off Camden Avenue.
