Dellia V. Hoover

Dellia Virginia Hoover, 78, of Tallmansville, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice in Buckhannon.

She was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Ten Mile, a daughter of the late Willie and Frances Tenney Russell.

She married Troy W. Hoover, who preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1988. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Hoover; one brother, Bradford "Abe" Russell; two sisters, Opal Harper and Wredia Zirkle; and one infant brother and sister.

She is survived by two sons, Doug and Eddy Hoover, both of Tallmansville; five daughters, Madelene Bowman and husband, Michael, Susan Virginia Boyce and husband, Loyd, and Donna Hoover, all of Tallmansville, Avis Blagg of French Creek and Judy Lemons of Hodgesville; six grandsons, Wayne and Tyler Lemons, both of Hodgesville, Henry and Charley Blagg and fiance Beverly Canter, all of French Creek, Matthew Boyce of Tallmansville and Mikie Bowman and fiance, Sarah Hamner, of Sago; two granddaughters, Jenny Sue Boyce and Jessica Bowman, both of Tallmansville; future great granddaughter, Bethany; three brothers, Garnet Russell and wife, Madeline, of Ellamore, Grover Russell and wife, Etta, of Tallmansville and Nelson Russell and wife, Mary, of Cutright Chapel; and two sisters, Myrtle Kelley of Ten Mile and Evelyn Winkler of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker and a Pentecostal by faith. Friends will be received today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery at Tallmansville.
