The Upshur Arts Alliance awarded one of six grants to the Buckhannon Chamber Orchestra to support their ongoing performances in Buckhannon.
A recent concert at Wesley Chapel at WVWC featured soloists Matthew Harmon on cello, Amanda Harman on the bassoon and Zach Saunders on violin performing works by Mendelssohn, Mozart and former member, Scott Green.
The Buckhannon Chamber Orchestra has promoted string music in Buckhannon since the fall of 1980 by providing string players an opportunity to perform together as a group for the community. The orchestra continues to grow and performs a wide variety of chamber music while frequently featuring soloists.
