Sarah Elizabeth Squires, 95, of Buckhannon, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital NCF in Buckhannon.
She was born June 23, 1916, in Weston, a daughter of the late Michael and Lucy Henry Brockleman.
On Jan. 19, 1945, she married Roy D. Squires, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1983.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ann Squires; one brother, Wayne Brockleman and four sisters, Irene Milton, Jean Rastle, Maxine "Pete" Ward and Hazel Herron.
She is survived by one daughter, Jane Skinner and husband, Bob, of Buckhannon; one son, Roy Duwane Squires and wife, Tappan, of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Katie Squires of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Robbie and Chris Skinner, Will, Tim and Sammy Squires, all of Buckhannon; and three sisters, Lucille Rastle of Weston, JoAnn "Pudge" Loudin of Kent, Ohio, and Ruthdale "Turtle" Davis of Weston. Mrs. Squires was a housewife.
She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Aux.
Friends will be received today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Joseph M.
