Ryan A. Hart

Ryan Andrew Hart, 26, a resident of Martinsburg, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Martinsburg from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born April 27, 1986, at Elkins, a son of John Hampton and Rebecca Suzanne Gibson Hart of Elkins. Also surviving is one brother, Christopher A. Hart and wife, Michelle, and daughter, Kasie, of San Antonio, Texas, one sister, Brooke R. Hart of Pittsburgh, Pa., and his maternal grandparents, Guy O. and Ruth A. Bell Gibson. Several aunts and uncles, Jeanette Gibson Woods and husband, Daniel, Robin Gibson Hotakey, Pamela Gibson, Julia Gibson Mouser and husband, Todd, Guy Gibson and wife, Sherry, Dorthy Hart Doonan and husband, Glen, Joseph Hart and wife, Kelly, David Hart and wife, Kay, Debra Hart Gainer and husband, Harold, Jeffery Hart and wife, Barbara, Edward Hart and Steven Hart and wife, Carol, also survive.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Wilson A. and Alice E. Chewning Hart, and two cousins, Alison Hart and Garrett Gibson.

Ryan was a veteran of the West Virginia National Guard with the 115th ENG Company where he served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He attended Fairmont State University and spent four years in the United States Department of Labor Electrician Apprenticeship Program. He was employed as a commercial industrial electrician with CNC Electric Inc. at the time of his death. He attended Hart Chapel Community Church.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Daniel Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the American Legion's Little Arlington Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion, Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars and West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Gideon International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800 for the purchase of Bibles or to Operation Christmas Child, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
