Buckhannon-Upshur track standout Emily Godwin competed in the 2012 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Bloomington, Indiana this past weekend.
The meet consisted of the best high school and college freshman from throughout the United States.
The Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships was a qualifying event for this year's IAAF World Junior Championships, which will get under way on July 10 in Barcelona, Spain.

Buckhannon-Upshur track standout Emily Godwin recently competed in the 2012 USA?Junior Track and Field Championships.
Godwin, who finished sixth overall at meet, competed in the 100-meter high hurdles, the high jump, shot put, 200-meter dash, long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter dash.
Godwin's best finish in the meet was in the long jump competition where she placed seventh overall with a jump of 17-8.
She also placed eighth in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.26.
Godwin captured four state titles this past season and was named high-point champion for a second straight year at the West Virginia state meet.
She repeated as state champion in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles.
Godwin also won long jump and high jump state titles for the first time in her career this season.
She won the long jump with a leap of 17-10 and captured gold in the high jump with a jump of 5-8.
