Barbara Ruth Summerfield, 72, of Beverly died June 19, 2012, at Nella's Nursing Home, Inc.
She was born Sept. 30, 1939, in Mt. Storm, a daughter of the late Frederick Austin and Georgie Ellen Nelson Cosner.
She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Summerfield, Sr.; three sons Carl R. (Debbi) Summerfield Jr. of Wardensville, Danny E. Summerfield of St. Mary's and Buddy L. (Sabrina) Summerfield of Logan; three daughters, Bobetta K. Presutti of Beverly, Tammy (Rick) Haden of Beverly, Bettina Summerfield and companion, Marshall Strawder, of Elkins; three brothers Frederick A. Cosner of Nelsonville, Ohio, Robert L. Cosner Frederick, Md., Buddy E. Cosner of Andrews, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary A. Hipp.
Mrs. Summerfield was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Friends were received on Thursday at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis. Funeral services will be held today at Hinkle Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Rev. Albert Belt officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Storm Cemetery.
