The Randolph County Elementary Basketball League held a tournament on March 9-11 at Elkins Middle School gymnasium. The tournament was a big success with a fourth-grade team bracket of six teams and a fifth-grade bracket of seven teams.

I would like to personally thank the local businesses that made this tournament possible. Their donations helped pay for tournament T-shirts, trophies and medals. Thank you Family Dental, EHS Basketball Restoring Pride, Miller's Used Cars, Residential Creations, Mike Ross Inc., Nationwide Insurance - Ray LaMora, Mountain Valley Bank of Elkins, Elkins Suzuki, Foto 1, Lohr & Barb Funeral Home, Triplett & Triplett law firm, Dave Wilmoth law firm, Tammy's Flowers and Lewis Enterprise.

I also want to thank Rich Carr, Todd Price and Ted Williams for letting us use the EMS gymnasium and concession stand. Thanks, Mike Johnson for getting our officials for the tournament. A big thank you goes out to Phil Isner, Steve Schumacher, Todd Price and Andrew Davis for announcing, score keeping and trophy presentation.

Thank you Kim White, Amy Schumacher and Bryn Cooper and all of the other family members of Midland staff who helped with the concession, gate and cleanup. Finally, thanks to all of the fans, coaches and players for show good sportsmanship during and after the tournament.
