Monroe Ketterman

Keith Monroe Ketterman, 74, of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in E.A. Hawse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Baker.

He was born Sept. 13, 1937, at Dorcas, a son of the late George B. Ketterman and Virginia Parker Ketterman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua R. Ketterman; two brothers, Cletus Ketterman and Dee Ketterman; and four sisters, Goldie Whetzel, Fannie Whetzel, Mary Ruth Cullers and Vicki Wilhelm.

He drove a truck for Allegheny Mining for 17 years. He retired from Advantage Foods in 2002. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Petersburg.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Anna Mongold Ketterman; four sons, Curtis W. Ketterman of Cabins, Ronnie L. Ketterman of Maysville, Keith L. Ketterman of Petersburg and Robert L. Ketterman of Petersburg; two daughters, Peggy Barger of Peoria, Ill., and Loretta Ketterman of Petersburg; three grandchildren, Brian Cole, Ashley Ketterman and Adam Ketterman; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Allen Friel officiating. Interment will follow in Brake Cemetery at Dorcas.
