Tressia R. McGuire, 69, of Bowie, Md., died on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1942, in West Virginia, to Robert and Ruby Flanagan, and a 1960 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School.
She worked as a program management specialist at the Bursar's Office at the University of Maryland at College Park. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, Md., and also of the Kenilworth Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband, Michael M. McGuire Sr.; three children, Michael M. McGuire Jr. and his wife, Marianne, of Odenton, Md., Robert T. McGuire and his wife, Kim, of Germantown, Md., and Lori D. McGuire of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Flanagan of Hedgesville and Benjamin Flanagan of Huttonsville; and four grandchildren, Colin, Clare, Megan and Katelyn.
Funeral services were in Maryland. Interment will be in Valley Head Cemetery in Valley Head on Friday, June 29.
