With mid-season soon approaching, the points race is heating up at Elkins Raceway as only nine points separate Elkins driver Tim Senic over Fairmont's Billy Holbert.
Tonight at the speedway, action will be fast and furious as all classes offer an added bonus for the winners.
Elkins Speedway will also present the season's first gigantic fireworks display. According to speedway officials, the display is always the best in the area as professional shooters come in and put the fireworks off.

Also mark your calendars for July 13 as the second annual Richard Skidmore Memorial will take place, offering the winner of the super lates a cool $7,500 top prize. This race in only its second year, is sure to become a crown jewell in the tri-state area.
Also on the card will be the first ever appearance of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour. Several of the tri-states top drivers will be on hand to see who can capture the first ever Thunder in the Valley 30 for modifieds and take home the $1,500 winners share.
