Water conservation orders were in effect Sunday evening in Philippi and Junior, as Barbour County officials worked to counteract the effects of Friday's storm damages.
No Barbour County towns had to turn off their water to customers over the weekend, and the conserve water orders were put into effect to avoid such measures, according to Phil Hart, the president of the Barbour County Commission.
No water conservation order had been put into effect in Belington, Hart said.
Residents who need water are asked to bring their own containers to be filled at the City of Philippi water plant on Chestnut Street.
