Energy Express is a literacy and nutrition program that seeks to provide a print-rich, healthy environment for elementary-aged children during six weeks of the summer.
One of the program's goals for the summer is to provide services to the community. This year, the local Energy Express team is presenting "Arts in the Park." Energy Express mentors will work with children in grades kindergarten to six, providing them with fun, interactive activities through art, drama and recreation with no cost to parents.
Art, drama and recreation stations will be set up in the pavilion area at Elkins City Park. All stations will rotate every 30 to 40 minutes. These enrichment activities will be at the park from 2 to 4:30 p.m. July 11, 18 and 25.
