The Elkins 9-10 year-old All-Star team is currently preparing for upcoming state tournament play which is scheduled to begin July 13 in Moorefield.
Elkins recently advanced after winning the District 8 tournament in Mill Creek. The All-Stars defeated Summersville Gold 12-11 in the district championship game to move on.
A total of 14 teams will be looking to bring home a state tournament trophy from the event, which will feature champions and runner-ups from each district.

"The kids are excited to play in the state tournament," Elkins manager John Davis said. "It's a real treat for all of them."
Matt Davis and Larry Jones will help John Davis coach the team.
