Valley Head Fire Department members having been handing out water and making food for the area residents since Monday.
The Valley Head Fire Department has been used as a distribution center for food, water and other supplies.
Area residents who do not have power or ways to cook meals can come to the station for water, and ready-to-cook food.
Valley Head Fire Department members on Wednesday hand out necessities to area residents dealing with ongoing power outages following last weekend’s storm. The department has served as a distribution center for food, water and other supplies.
Members would like to thank the National Guard, Randolph County School Board, Davis Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross and other agencies that have helped with donations to make this possible, said Keith Brown, fire chief.
