Mary Louise Stone, 82, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday morning, July 8, 2012, in Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.

She was born Jan. 9, 1930, at Fairmont, a daughter of the late Harry Thurman Brumage Sr. and the late Clara Jones Brumage.

Surviving are one son, Hersel Stone of Elkins; one daughter, Nola Elaine Edmond of Elkins; one brother, Harry Brumage Jr. of Fairmont; one sister, Norma Jean Yost of Farmington; grandchildren, Hersel Steven Stone and wife, Erin, of Montrose, Ashley Stephens and Austen Edmond, both of Elkins; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Trevor Stone.

Mary was employed for many years as a nurse's aide at the Elkins Convalescent Hospital. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading her Bible and car rides, and she loved her grandchildren very much.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road.

Contributions may be made to Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars, 536 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV 26241, in memory of Mary.
