Larry Edward "Greaser" Lane, 61, of Walkersville, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born, June 25, 1951, in Lewis County, a son of the late James Edward Lane and Betty June Wilson Lane, who survives.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Westfall Lane.
Also surviving are three daughters, Serina Pritt Bennett of French Creek, Tina Lane of Buckhannon and Peggy Lane Hovis; six sons, Matthew Lane of Walkersville, Lyle Lane of Walkersville, Billy Lane of Vadis, Buddy Lane of Walkersville, Edward Lane of Walkersville and Luke Lane of Walkersville; five sisters, Linda Snyder of Cowen, Shirley Cogar of Gaines, Diana Bender of Rock Cave, Delores Littlejohn of Summersville and Brenda Johnson of Summersville; one brother, Rick Lane; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Matthew Lane; and one granddaughter.
He was the owner and operator of Lane Truckin.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Don Elmer officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Flat Cemetery.
