Members of local arts organizations and individual working artists are invited to participate in Elkins ON TRAC's second annual Artists Gather street fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4 in downtown Elkins. There is no cost to participate, but artists must register in advance by the July 28 deadline.
"The ON TRAC Artists Gather street fair provides a wonderful opportunity for local artists to exhibit and sell their work. It also gives the community the opportunity to meet the artists and to learn firsthand about their work," Randolph County Community Arts Center Executive Director Beth King said.
Artists at Work President Cindy Sandeno said co-op members may have a shared booth, or members may sign up to display their work individually.
"It's a good chance for people to see work by their favorite artists or meet new ones," Sandeno said.
Third Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Davis Avenue to Kerens Avenue to provide a venue for art displays and sales. A 10-foot-by-10-foot space and one 8-foot table will be provided for each participating artist.
All products brought for sale at the fair must be produced by vendors. Both art and craft items such as sewing and wood products, as well as artisan food items, including breads, jams and jellies, are welcome.
Registration forms may be requested by email to info@elkinsontrac.org. Forms also are posted on the Elkins ON TRAC Facebook page. Printed forms are available at the ON TRAC office, located in the Darden House, 421 Davis Ave., or at the RCCAC office on Church Lane across from Elkins City Park.
