Donald and Polly Goldizen celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 8.
The couple were married at the bride's home on June 8, 1957, in Marlinton.
Mrs. Goldizen, the former Pauline Astin, is the daughter of the late Henry and Cameron Astin.

Mr. Goldizen is the son of the late Sampson and Gladys Goldizen. He is a retired captain of the West Virginia State Police after serving 31 years.
The couple has three children, Gary Goldizen and wife, Kitty, of Cheboygan, Mich., Tammy Epperly and husband, David, of Winfield, and Debbie Stalnaker and husband, Dan, of Elkins. The couple also has six grandchildren.
