Three men are now behind bars after being arrested in what police are calling a murder-for-hire plot.
Robert Eugene Siron III, 30, of 139 Brookview Drive, Weston, and Jesse Lee Heater, 28, of HC 36, Box 304, Buckhannon, are both charged with first-degree murder in the death of Joshua Oberg. Rodolfo "Chino" Correa Villagomez, 32, of 10 Riley Heights, Buckhannon, is charged with being an accessory before the fact of first-degree murder.
Investigators said they believe Villagomez paid Heater to kill Oberg, though they are not providing any motive in the matter.

All three men are being held without bond, and hearings to determine whether a bond should be set are scheduled for today in Upshur County Circuit Court. Heater, who is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Siron, who is being held in the North Central Regional Jail, is set to have a hearing at 1 p.m., and Villagomez, who is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, is set to appear at 2 p.m.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday for Heater and 1:30 p.m. for Siron. Villagomez is set to have a preliminary hearing at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. All three hearings will be before Upshur County Magistrate Juanita Adams.
West Virginia State Police discovered Oberg's remains Monday in a shallow grave on Bull Run Road in Upshur County. The remains have been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office for a positive identification.
Oberg had been reported missing Jan. 27, and he had last been seen four days earlier.
According to the criminal complaint filed in the Upshur County Magistrate Clerk's office, Siron allegedly said he was an eyewitness to Oberg being killed by Heater, and Villagomez allegedly had paid Heater a "substantial" amount of cash soon afterward. Siron said he also received money from Heater.
The charges carry a life sentence in prison.
During the men's initial appearance, which was conducted by video teleconferencing, Adams appointed Russell Stobbs to serve as Villagomez's defense attorney, Dennis Willett to serve as Siron's defense attorney and James Hawkins to serve as Heater's defense attorney.
