EHS to have new sports pass for the upcoming season

July 27, 2012
By Andrew Davis - Staff Writer (adavis@theintermountain.com) , The Inter-Mountain

The athletic and administrative staff at Elkins High School would like to announce a new athletic events pass that will go on sale at the Aug. 14th scrimmage against Liberty (Harrison) at Wimer Field.

This 20-event pass will replace the old $100 sports pass and will hopefully be more helpful to larger families wishing to come support Elkins teams this year.

The events pass will be sold for $60 for one individual to come to any 20 sporting events at Elkins High School.

The holder of this card may bring a family member or friend to a game. If two Elkins fans use this, they would get into 10 events. This is further explained on the back of the card.

Once 20 events have been punched, then you can get another one at any of the sporting events or by contacting the athletic department at 304-636-9173, or by contacting athletic director Todd Price at tkprice@access.k12.wv.us.

The 20-event passes are only valid at Elkins High?School home events and may not be used for tournaments, sectional, regional or state tournaments.

Elkins High School admission to any 2012-13 athletic even will be $5 for all individuals ages nine to adult and any senior citizen or eight-and-under will be admitted free.

There will also be a sports meeting today at 6:30 p.m. at the Elkins High School Theater.

All parents and players who whish to play a fall sport are encouraged to attend.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the head coaches will meet with their players and parents about the upcoming season.

They will also discuss their schedules and practice times for the season and also how they can help at home contests.
