Pamela Sue "Susie" Phillips will seek the position of Barbour County Commission member as an independent candidate in the November general election.
Phillips served the residents of Barbour County for nearly 25 years as a 911 dispatcher, with 15 of those years in a supervisory position as well as dispatching. She is currently employed as customer service manager at Elkins Walmart.
"It is my goal for the people of Barbour County to allow me the privilege to assist in growth of the county, be it economics and all other aspects that affects the citizens well being and livelihood," Phillips said. "Also to ensure that the residents are receiving the best quality services from their county government.

"Instead of waiting for someone to make a difference and bring about change, it's time I become the someone that does," Phillips said.
