The Buckhannon-Upshur Farmer's Market will host its first Chili Cook-Off Competition from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Jaw Bone Park in downtown Buckhannon.
The group is looking for competitors. Cash prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place chili, best overall hot dog chili and best overall cornbread. Other prizes will include best booth and people's choice in chili.
This family-friendly event is sponsored by the Buckhannon Upshur Farmer's Market Association and local farms and businesses.
