Helen V. Shiflett of 4 Lewnaker Drive, Beverly will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sept. 4.
Mrs. Shiflett was born Sept. 4, 1922, at Beverly, the daughter of Ernest and Margaret Weese Harper.
She was married to Robert G. Shiflett on July 20, 1942, at Elkins.

They are the parents of two daughters, Canda L. Ware and Vickie L. Ware and husband, Troy, of Beverly. They also have three grandchildren, Scott and Vanessa Ware, Robert and Amie Ware and Kristina and Manny Ardegan; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa and Elizabeth Ware and Devon, Jackson and Andrew Ardelgan.
A surprise reception for Mrs. Shiflett will be hosted from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at Beverly United Methodist Church. Cards are welcome; gifts are to be omitted.
