Members of the Elkins Volunteer Fire Department and the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department work to shut off a gas meter that was damaged when a Dodge Ram slammed into a house Tuesday morning. The truck was traveling toward Beverly from the Beverly Five-lane when it left the roadway, traveled through several yards, struck a parked car and then came to rest against the house. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident. The Randolph County Emergency Squad also responded to the scene.
