Folk group to perform

Folk By Association, the harmonizing duo of Karen Krajacic and Jill Unger, will kick off a run of Mid-Atlantic shows Friday, which will include stops in Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

It will culminate with a performance at the 10th annual High Land Jam in Elkins. This will be the duo's third appearance at the popular festival, which features an eclectic lineup of rock, folk, country and more. It is scheduled for Aug. 23 to 26 at Pegasus Farm Campground and Music Park.

Regional performance dates include: 8:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at The Purple Fiddle in Thomas; 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at Festival Fridays in Buckhannon; and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the High Land Jam in Elkins.

Folk By Association is known for top-notch vocal harmonies and unique acoustic arrangements using multiple instruments, including guitar, mandolin, banjo, shaker and even toy xylophone. The duo celebrates its 12-year anniversary this summer.
