A teacher at the Buckhannon Academy Elementary School was arrested Thursday for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.
Thomas Lamb, 49, of Buckhannon, was arrested by the Upshur County Sheriff's Department on a felony charge of third-degree sexual assault. According to a criminal complaint filed in Upshur County Magistrate Court, Lamb allegedly had sexual intercourse with the juvenile in December 2010 and November 2011.
The West Virginia Department of Education website lists Lamb as a teacher at the Buckhannon Academy Elementary School.

Lamb was arraigned before Magistrate Michael Coffman and currently is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond. Attorney Thomas Prall is serving as Lamb's defense attorney. A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled yet.
