Plant honors workers

The Pilgrim's Pride Moorefield fresh plant has announced three recent winners of its Partner of the Month program.

Margie Summers has been honored as the April Partner of the Month. Summers works in the quality assurance department on night shift and has worked for the company for 18 years.

"Margie is an exceptional employee," said Barbara Ganoe, her supervisor. "She has excellent attendance; she not had an unexcused absence since she has been working for the company. Margie is self motivated, helping her co-workers anytime needed and is supportive in all situations. She is very dependable and has an excellent safety outlook, always working safely."

Robert Fleckenstein has been honored as the May Partner of the Month. Fleckenstein works in the truss wogs department on night shift and has worked for the company for 13 years.

Fleckenstein's supervisor, Donna Smith, said, "Robert has received perfect attendance awards every year for the last 13 years. He is a great team worker, and can perform all jobs in the department with expertise. Robert is always happy and he is always willing to learn something new. He follows all safety regulations and strives to keep safety a priority in the department."

Matthew Stump has been honored as the June Partner of the Month. Stump works in the shipping department on day shift and has worked for the company for eight years.

"Matthew is a hard worker with a wonderful overall disposition" said Danny Smith, his supervisor. "He works well with fellow co-workers and will perform any job needed in the department. Matthew takes pride in his work and the company. His job performance excels and he is very safety conscious."

The Partner of the Month program has been implemented to recognize employees for their outstanding merit and work ethic. Employees in the program have exhibited outstanding work characteristics in the categories of attendance, teamwork, attitude and job performance.
